Additive Manufacturing of High-Entropy Alloys: Microstructure and Properties
Lars Eriksson
In: Advanced Materials Science and Nanotechnology
High-entropy alloys (HEAs) printed via selective laser melting exhibit unique microstructural features that differ significantly from cast counterparts. This study characterizes phase composition, grain morphology, residual stress distribution, and mechanical performance of CrMnFeCoNi and AlCoCrFeNi2.1 HEAs produced under varied processing parameters. Exceptional strength-ductility combinations are achieved through post-processing heat treatments.
